The innovation division of PLATFORMEDIA develops software applications related to its core technology development. These applications can be licensed either as complete, stand-alone applications, or licensed for development, customization and integration within existing applications. Following are two examples of applications that make use of our technology's potential.

This technology was originally developed with a focus on the SEC's EDGAR database, the target audience being the High Yield investor. The application reads in plain-text (unstructured) financial reports, identifies and extracts the relevant line item data, then automatically transfers the information into structured, easy to manipulate form (such as Excel spreadsheets). This application was included in the analytical tools provided to clients by HYmarket.com, and contributed to the portal's increased popularity (launched in March 2000, HYmarket.com is the leading research and analytics portal for high yield professionals in the US high yield bond markets).

The Internet is still a relatively young, immature technology. In 10 years' time, looking back, it may be difficult to understand how we were able to get by using a simple browser as our primary contact with this vast information resource. Today's browser has extremely limited functionality - it is essentially constrained to the point of treating our sophisticated desktop PC as a "dumb terminal".

The WebFragger takes one step forward in increasing browser functionality. This PLATFORMEDIA application enables automatic fragmentation of website content, creating a new sort of browser in which the user can choose the content from any website location. The WebFragger can automatically maintain the redesigned content "fresh" and fixed in a chosen place. Furthermore, the application can create an automatic live XML data-feed from any fragment.
